The University of Hawaii Cancer Center in Honolulu has entered its final construction phase under budget, leaving room to build an extension.
The original construction contract budgeted $119 million for the center but ending up costing $103 million, cancer center spokeswoman Lori Strelow told PBN. Work on the center started two years ago.
With that extra $16 million, Strelow said the project added an extension on the Ewa side.
