Hawaii is the most expensive state for residential real estate, with the price of a four-bedroom home costing more than 2.5 times the national average for the same listing, according to Coldwell Banker Real Estate.
The real estate company’s 2012 Home Listing Report found that the average listing for a four-bedroom, two-bath home in the U.S. was $292,152, while in Hawaii that same-size property cost an average of $742,551.
