The median price of a single-family home on Oahu rose nearly 7 percent in November, compared to a year ago, to $684,000, just $1,000 shy of the record price set six years ago, according to statistics from the Honolulu Board of Realtors.
The median price last month was 6.9 percent higher than the median price in November 2012, which was $640,000, and just below the record high of $685,000 set in July 2007. The median price in November was based on 296 sales, which was just 2.1 percent more than the 290 sales during the same month last year.
Condominium sales, meanwhile, rose 12.1 percent to 407 units sold in November, compared to 363 units sold during the same month last year. The median condo price nudged upward by just 1.5 percent to $330,000, from $325,000 last year.
