The Oahu real estate market has had a busy summer. Single-family homes on Oahu sold in July for 7.4 percent more than they did in the same month last year, making that the ninth consecutive month of the median sales price increasing over the previous year. The median sale price of homes edged up to $635,000 from $591,000 in the same month last year.
In Oahu’s condominium market, the median condo price was up a whopping 15.5 percent to $320,000 from $277,000. The number of closed sales also went up 5.6 percent. In Waikiki, the number of sales in July went up 17 percent from July of last year.
Pending sales for condominiums are up 33 percent which may indicate continuing momentum for second half of the year. These continuing gains, further solidifies what many industry observers are calling a strengthening of home values.
